Research profile:

The main research interest of Monika lies in ecology and evolution of small mammals. Her MSc study investigated multi-annual and seasonal body mass dynamics in cyclic population of the root vole, Microtus oeconomus. She participated in the research on the effect of variability of body mass and metabolic rates on individual fitness of the root voles. Currently, she is conducting a PhD project on the effect of inorganic plant compounds on population dynamics of the root vole in Biebrza National Park.
